How loud the alarm is?
The alarm of the defendme® is about 120 decibels and can be heard up to 300 feet(100 meters).5
How long does it last?
The alarm will continuously sound for approximately 30 minutes
How do I turn it on?
Grab the lanyard and firmly pull out the tab.
How do I turn it off?
Put the tab back in the slot and the alarm will stop ringing.
Does it turn off on its own?
There is no timer built in. The alarm will sound until the tab is replaced or the batteries die. It is recommended to check the batteries at least every 6 months.
How do I change the batteries?
To access the 2 batteries (CR1632 3V), the top and bottom plastic case covers have to be removed. Option 1: to open the case, make sure that the tab is in place. Twist the tab until the case opens. Option 2: remove the tab, insert the tip of a flat screwdriver in the opening and gently twist until the case opens.
How do I carry it?
With its lanyard, defendme® can easily be strapped to just about anything (backpack, purse, briefcase or even a belt-loop.
Can I travel with my defendme®?
As a non-lethal weapon, defendme®, like any other personal alarm, is legal in all 50 states and approved by TSA.
